The Pigs

We raise a small number of Gloucester Old Spot pigs. These are fed a mix of whey (a bi-product of cheese making) and Brewers Grain. Like the Gloucester cattle, the Gloucester Old Spots are a rare breed that we continue to support and protect to ensure longevity of the breed.

Gloucester Old Spots are recognisable from their floppy ears and large black spots. Legend has it that the black spots are bruises left from apples falling from the trees above.

Occasionally we have both Old Spot sausages and back/streaky bacon which is available to purchase from one of our farmers markets as well as pre-ordered collection from the farm.
